Our child is 20 months old and is not scared of the book or of Mama Llama not being there for the baby. In fact, it's a great teaching tool to help her understand that her parents love her even when they are not with her. "Mama Llama's always near/even when she's not right here."
This book so perfectly captures the emotional escalation of a child's panic over something relatively benign: Needing a drink of water eventually turns into a 3-alarm fire.
As parents who practice attachment parenting, we love Llama llama Red Pajama and would recommend it to anyone.

This cookbook is a great one for both beginning bakers and home experts. There are classic recipes, such as banana bread, muffins, cakes, pies and quick breads. Great as an overview or for specific cities (2008-10-24)
I picked up this book as the authoritative text on the so-called "creative class." It did not disappoint. Despite being a little more academic than other quick-to-absorb-the-concept business books, it was still highly readable and packed with research data. There are plenty of charts and lists...
Leer más I picked up this book as the authoritative text on the so-called "creative class." It did not disappoint. Despite being a little more academic than other quick-to-absorb-the-concept business books, it was still highly readable and packed with research data. There are plenty of charts and lists that rate certain cities in the U.S. for conditions to foster creativity, such as access to public transportation, affordable housing in the metro urban area, telecommunications infrastructure/access to public wifi and more. You could even use this book as a guide on deciding where to move to, if you're considering changing jobs or locations. I put it beside RenGen: Renaissance Generation - the rise of the cultural consumer and what it means to your business because they speak to the same cultural phenomenon.

My daughter is 13 months old and she hasn't been able to sit through the whole book in one sitting quite yet. It does require more attention span than some of the shorter "board" books out there. I do wonder if we will come home one day to a large purple line drawn on her wall? If so, it will be a testament to the power of a good story!

One of my favorite books (2008-10-07)
If you haven't stepped into the alternate universe of Borges--even if only for a brief time--you have missed out on a wonderful adventure. This is a great book and not one to be missed. Each story is layered with meaning, allusion and metaphor.
