The Orbis Pictus Nonfiction Award, presented annually by the National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE), promotes and recognizes excellence in nonfiction writing for children. Along with the award winner, up to 5 honor books may be named annually, and a list of recommended books. UCR acquires the award and honor titles, but may not always acquire the recommended books. They are included here, however, for your convenience if you wish to borrow them from another library.
