I interviewed Hannah on my Poet to Poet: Writer to Writer Cable Access TV Show in Somerville, Mass. Shortly after she took her own life. I asked her why she relocated to Boston from NYC. She told me she grew up in the area, and " My begining is my end...

I designed the front cover by putting my outstreched hand in a xerox machine. It was a magazine sized book, printed at Copy Cop store on Boylston St. in Boston in 1999...I was outrageously excited.

The poems here deal with Doug Holder's experiences in the city of Boston from the 1970's on, plus his years of employment at the psychiatric hospital: McLean Hospital" in Belmont, Mass. McLean is noted for its poet residents Lowell,Plath and Sexton. A Pic
