3. Exploring Life - Spirit
The word spirit originates in the Latin “spiritus” meaning “breath.” Spirit is the breath of life, the essential life-force, the source of all consciousness, and a pathway to personal transformation. Through our sense of spirit we strive to approach the mystery of life, the edge on which our knowledge ceases to help us. The Spirit also brings us into close proximity with the unavoidables in life and encourages us to fully inhabit them in order to pursue truth. To do this we must overcome our own fear and anxieties related to the inevitable of life including death, dying, purpose, meaning, need, desire, attachment, attainment, the unknown, and the unexpected. Spirit embodies the quest for the reality of life free beyond the confines of culture and society. [http://exploring-life.ca/themes/spirit/]

5. Exploring Life - Experience
To explore experience means to extend our understanding of the situations and circumstances we find ourselves in throughout the confluence of everyday life. Though we can describe shared or collective experiences, each person’s experience in life is unique and individual. Our interpretation of our experience creates our identity and sense of belonging in life. How we interpret our experiences in life also defines our actions and intentions toward ourselves and others. While experience can be shared and expressed, the pursuit of experience is ultimately a solitary endeavor. [http://exploring-life.ca/themes/experience/]
