1.
de Daniel Mason
Livre : Fiction
Langue : Anglais
Éditeur : New York : Alfred A. Knopf, 2007.
Notes :
I almost put this one down cause it was so weird. It moves slowly and is more about the journey than the destination. He has really great descriptive powers. But what the hell is manioc? I still don't know.

2.
de Stephen King
Livre : Fiction
Langue : Anglais
Éditeur : New York : Scribner, 2008.
Notes :
Okay, I'm not a big Stephen King reader, but this one intrigued me. It's HUGE -- like 600 pages or something. But it was really engaging and I read it all when I was really sick back in winter time. It's not gross, just weird.

de Marisa De los Santos
Livre : Fiction
Langue : Anglais
Éditeur : New York, NY : William Morrow, ©2008.
Notes :
Oh, this story has great characters who come alive on the page, especially Cornelia. Some of the descriptions of these women take me back to high school, with a little desperate housewives mixed in. It's sweet and sad and funny all at once.

The story of Augusten's journey into sobriety. Again, very frank, as is his style, and funny as heck.

You will just love this book. The descriptions of her father's work as a florist and references to being so busy at holiday time, etc. It's got a little Imlays in it!

This is a very cool book that had a pretty good twist at the end. I didn't really get it until the end.

10.
de Sue Miller
Livre : Fiction
Langue : Anglais
Éditeur : New York : Alfred A. Knopf, 2008.
Notes :
Marianne, she had another book that was an Oprah club recommendation. This story has a great juxtaposition and entanglement between the lives of two women, one young and one old, who live on either side of a double house. It's a good read.
