Notes: Marianne, she had another book that was an Oprah club recommendation. This story has a great juxtaposition and entanglement between the lives of two women, one young and one old, who live on either side of a double house. It's a good read.

Notes: This is a very cool book that had a pretty good twist at the end. I didn't really get it until the end.

Notes: You will just love this book. The descriptions of her father's work as a florist and references to being so busy at holiday time, etc. It's got a little Imlays in it!

Notes: The story of Augusten's journey into sobriety. Again, very frank, as is his style, and funny as heck.

Notes: Oh, this story has great characters who come alive on the page, especially Cornelia. Some of the descriptions of these women take me back to high school, with a little desperate housewives mixed in. It's sweet and sad and funny all at once.

Notes: Okay, I'm not a big Stephen King reader, but this one intrigued me. It's HUGE -- like 600 pages or something. But it was really engaging and I read it all when I was really sick back in winter time. It's not gross, just weird.
