The Abe Lerner Papers reflect his wide interest and knowledge of the graphic arts of the twentieth century as reflected in his correspondence with book and type designers, printers and publishers, and editors in the United States and Europe. The correspondence files contain drafts of some of the letters he sent as well as those received. In addition to correspondence there are some files of the texts of talks he delivered and designs for book jackets and for printed ephemera.
