Seaworthy, but runs aground

Memorable characters and interesting history of the Albany area of New York State make this a surprisingly engaging read. Most of it, anyway. The high-adventure sea jaunts are a nice counterpoint to the psychological drama that takes place on land, at the Wallingford estate. About halfway into the...
