Abstract:
This detailed work explores the internal society of the Nazi concentration camps and the types of resistance which inmates brought to bear against their captors. The author, who participated in such resistance himself, deals with the conditions of the camps, as well as tension and cohesion between groups of prisoners. most of the research that went into the book is based on conversations with survivers.
