"Deceased faculty files" of the Alumni Association contains correspondence, clippings, biographical material, donor cards, photographs, as well as miscellaneous items pertinent to Edwin A. Alderman, Edwin A. Alderman, Jr., Bessie Green Hearn Alderman and John Lloyd Newcomb.

Files on Newcomb contain clipping regarding his controversial decision not to allow the granting of athletic scholarships, 1935, President Roosevelt's "hand that held the daggger" speech at Finals, 1940, and an issue of the Iron Worker, 1951, containing an article about the University of Virginia.
