This is an excellent autobiography of a young man who worked his way to Broadway. The story is a great example of how a person can make his dreams come true by working hard and not giving up, no matter how difficult things may be. Alex Ko is a dancer, and his whole short life was dedicated to being the best dancer he could be. He was motivated and determined, and his hard work payed off. The story is inspirational and shows how hard it can be to reach a goal, but at the same time it shows that putting your mind to something can lead to big and wonderful things, including self respect and inner peace.
In the book, Alex's dad becomes ill and eventually passes away. Reading about this experience may be difficult for some people, especially if they have lost a loved one to cancer. Alex's experience through those difficult months was very real and heartfelt.
