Abstract:

Sabotage: Karl Verlok leads a secret life as a paid terrorist which leads undercover agent Ted Spencer to move in next door to Verlok and his wife Sylvia. Feeling that something's up, Verlok sends Sylvia's younger brother to deliver something for him, only the young man doesn't know he's delivering a time-bomb.

The man who knew too much: This classic Hitchcock thriller brings together vacationing English couple Bob and Jill Lawrence and their new friend, Louis Bernard. Unfortunately, Bernard is murdered, but not before whispering something important in Bob's ear.

The lady vanishes: Poor Iris Henderson and kindly old Miss Froy are traveling together on a train to England. When Iris awakes from a nap, she discovers that Miss Froy has disappeared, and has been replaced by another lady wearing her friend's clothing.

The 39 steps: Canadian rancher Richard Hannay is on vacation in England when a lady he's previously met shows up at his door with a map in her hand and a knife in her back, mumbling something about "39 steps." Now wanted for her murder, Hannay escapes to the Scottish town that appeared on the map.

Rich and strange: Fredy and Emily, a young married couple, decide to take a cruise around the world after they come into a sizable inheritance. While on the cruise both Emily and Fredy become romantically involved with the wrong people, and end up broke. Forced to journey home on a cargo boat, the couple sadly realizes that the worst is yet to come.

Young and innocent: Robert is the estranged husband of a beautiful actress with a bad reputation. When he discovers her lifeless body on the beach, he is mistaken for the murderer and soon finds himself on the run, learning that the murder makes for very strange bedfellows.

Murder!: An actress is convicted of murder, but one of the jurists is the only person who believes in her innocence and painstakingly reconstructs a murder to prove her innocent.

Secret agent: An ever-winding tale of deception that revolves around British novelist Edgar Brodie and secret agent Elsa Carrington. Their search for a ruthless murderer takes them to Switzerland, through the Alps and a train to Greece. Will a surprise air attack bring an end to their search and their lives?

Number 17: A gang of thieves, followed by Detective Gilbert, have stashed their loot in what they believe to be a safe-house in London.

Juno and the paycock: The wife of a poor Irish family in the 1920s struggles to hold her family together during the hard times. Meanwhile, her husband does nothing but bring them disrepute.
