The text was issued separately in 1897 as: Verses written for Nicholson's "Almanac for sports for 1898." Cf. Livingston 144.
"The library edition of this almanac is printed on Japanese vellum bound in cloth, a few copies printed directly from the original woodblocks, hand-coloured and signed by the artist"--Title page verso.
LC copies are on Japanese vellum, unsigned, and have illustrated paper covers over boards.
