The first section of this book, One person, was published in a limited edition of 51 copies under title Angels and earthly creatures, a sequence of sonnets by The Borough Press in 1928.
At least 3 printings of the trade edition. One with no printing statement, one with "First and second printings before publication" on the copyright page and a third with "First, second and third printings before publication" on the copyright page. Consult Blanck.
200 copies were printed on Oland hand made paper and numbered from 1-200. These special paper copies have a limitation statement on page [4] at beginning. Consult Blanck.
On the title page the publication date is written Nineteen hundred twenty nine.
