Abstract:

The first full-length bibliography devoted to the Conservative British politician Eden (1897-1977), who resigned from the Cabinet in opposition to appeasement in 1938, served under Churchill during World War II, was Foreign Secretary again in the 1950s, and was briefly Prime Minister until driven from office by his poor handing of the Suez Crisis in 1956. Descriptive and critical annotations accompany the 773 entries regarding all stages of his career. Sections also cover manuscript and archival sources, printed primary documents, the press, biographies about him, and his own published work.
