Resumen:

Sport fisheries management recommendations and background information for 2004 in the Upper Copper-Upper Susitna Management Area is presented. This information was provided to the Alaska Board of Fisheries, as well as the general public and interested parties. The Upper Copper-Upper Susitna Management Area consists of all waters and drainages of the Copper River upstream of Haley Creek and all waters and drainages of the Susitna River upstream of the Oshetna River. Sport, personal use, and subsistence salmon fisheries target king and sockeye salmon and sport fisheries target burbot, lake trout, rainbow/steelhead trout, Arctic grayling and Dolly Varden. Summaries of major sport, personal use and subsistence fisheries within the area are detailed, including descriptions of recent performances, Alaska Board of Fisheries regulatory actions, social and biological issues, and descriptions of ongoing research and management activities.
