Includes Politica (leaves 89a-189a) and Oeconomica (leaves 190a-195b). On leaf 88 is a letter from Bruni to Pope Martinus V; on leaf 190, a letter from Bruni to Cosimo de' Medici. At the end (leaves 196b-198b) are three letters: the first addressed by Bruni to Pope Eugenius IV ; the second addressed by Bruni to the signori of Siena, dated at Florence 24 Nov. 1438; the third addressed by the signori of Siena to Bruni, dated at Siena 28 Dec. 1438.
32 lines. Type: 92b, leaded to 112. Three- to seven- and ten-line spaces for capitals; spaces for rubrics at beginnings of books; space for Greek words in the translator's pref. to the Ethics.
In Lilly Library copy most capital spaces unfilled; filled spaces mostly in red, one in blue, one in brown, one in purple and red, and one in red and green; rubrics at beginnings of books and capital strokes on first 28 leaves only.
