Abstract:
Recalling in detail his "first crossing of the Alps in 1905"; indicating that Bartholomew from Cambridge was staying at a nearby village and that they had lunched together and then joined him in the mountains the next day; describing a boat ride to Isola Bella during which they encountered two of Mussolini's spies; describing gravel boats on the lake and sun-bathing on a sandy "lido"; indicating that they'll return to London via Paris tomorrow; acknowledging that he still needs to respond to Miss Granniss' letter.
