Discusses details of a tribute to Wakefield by the artist Macdonald Gill to be unveiled before the British Academy's Annual Shakespeare Lecture on May 1. Informs him that on May 7 the Foreign Secretary will present the Japanese ambassador with the Kelmscott Chaucer "as a symbol of the movement, with which you have been so intimately concerned." Congratulates him on Major Seagrave's fine exploits (breaking the land speed record on March 11 using Wakefield's Castrol oil). On letterhead of Le Grand Hôtel, Juan-les-Pins.
