Redgrave has looked at the Shakespeare portrait, and he believes Mr. Baverstock "is right in not working the restorations taken off, as the removal would probably take away some of the Shakespearean characteristics which may have been added to a portrait somewhat similar in characteristics to give likeness." Letter marked "private." Address on letter: 18 Hyde Park Gate South, Kensington. Signed Richd. Redgrave.
