Text printed in single column, paragraph form, without verse nos. Title centered at top of page with running heads. On both margins: references, notes, subject headings, and variant readings - special signs being used to distinguish words found in the original but ommited in Latin, words found in Latin but ommited in the original. Woodcut initials over nine lines at the beginning of each book and over two lines at the beginning of each chapter. Poetical sections in poetry form. Introductions and arguments.
