Abstract:

Produced by the U.S. Army, this episode of The Big Picture focuses on the U.S. Army's Tenth Special Forces Group in Europe, until recently a secret military force. Set in Bad Tolz which lies in an alpine valley near the German/Swiss border, this moving television documentary follows American soldiers as they train to organize guerrilla resistance in enemy occupied territories. With footage taken from the National Archives and Records Administration, this informative film showcases some of the field training exercises as well as the many hazardous and adventurous assignments carried out by the soldiers.
