Photocopy of a bill of complaint and related documents filed with the U.S. district court in the second judicial district of Minnesota Territory in Washington County by Pierre Chouteau, Jr., and Company of St. Louis, Missouri, and others (including Henry H. Sibley), against Henry M. Rice and others, charging misappropriation of funds, misstatement of accounts, and misconduct of the fur and Indian trade of the Chippewa and Winnebago outfits of the Chouteau interests. Included are transcripts of testimony and of the 1848 trade contract.
