Color illustration mounted on title page.
Sewn in one signature and bound in blue bookcloth over boards; yellow bookcloth on spine. Silouette of a hand-held garden fork on the front cover. On some pages, the text is covered by images on vellum paper of old, well-used tools (saws, a hammer, knives of various sorts) that are sewn to the page requiring the reader to lift the image and become symbolically complicit in the story. Set in Caslon and letterpress printed on Cranes Lettra acid-free paper.
