Portions of classic anthropological texts (particularly Fletcher and La Flesche's The Omaha Tribe), Omaha narratives, and other historical and contemporary accounts are repeated - each time in a different, more enlightening context - in a circle of stories seamlessly woven around Umon'hon'ti.
