The novel is about an affluent teen abandoned by her mother and raised by her single father.  While she has all that she thinks should make her happy, she continues to be lonely and discontent.  She thinks she finally finds contentment with her new boyfriend.  The novel is written in a conversational tone suitable for teens despite about a dozen swear words.  Also, the main character takes birth control and is disappointed with her boyfriend's decision to remain abstinent.  High school girls will likely be interested in reading this book.  The cover illustration is the back of a young girl's head and there are no other illustrations.
