Reading The Bonesetter's Daughter, like reading all of Amy Tan's books, is truly like taking a trip. Upon finishing this book, I felt absolute exhaustion from the emotional journey, fueled by stunning imagery: it is possible to "see" this book. IMO, this is Tan's best work to date.
