Binding: 18th cent., early. Full calf, gold tooled; rebacked; blue marbled endpapers; yellow edges.
Accompanying materials: With an engraved portrait of Dalton, dated 1770, pasted in.
Provenance: 1. Dalton -- 2. Engraved armorial bookplate (with motto: Favente Deo amicoque benigno) of Richard Whalley Bridgman on inside of front board -- 3. Collection of Sir Thomas Phillipps -- 4. Purchased from Last, 20 October 1942.
