Abstract:

The Cater Street hangman: Murder, class and forbidden love become entwined amid the sophistication of Victorian London. Lady Audley's secret: Lucy Graham's scandalous past threatens to catch up with her when her husband's nephew begins to nurse suspicions about her. Poldark: The Poldark family struggles to keep its mine alive as impetuous daughter Clowance falls in love with a mysterious stranger. The four feathers: Lieutenant Harry Feversham dishonors himself, his regiment and his fiancée, and must commit four acts of heroism to redeem himself.
