Abstract:

A film based on real events which occurred in Australia, at the turn of the century. The life story of a half-caste Aborigine named Jimmy Governor. Jimmy marries a white girl hoping to achieve assimiliation into white society, instead he becomes an object of loathing and ridicule. In winter, 1900, after some harassment from farmers, he murders a family near Gilgandra in New South Wales. He and his full blood Aborigine brother, Joey embark upon an odyssey of murdering whites. Hunted and hounded, he is eventually captured, tried, sentenced to death, and executed.
