Includes material pertaining to chemists such as Joseph Priestley, Evan Pugh, Norbert Rillieux, and John Winthrop; organizations including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Chemical Society, History of Science Society, and International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists; and museums and scientific collections of Morris Loeb, Joseph Priestley, Edgar Fahs Smith, and others. Also includes Browne's autograph collection consisting of letters of Jean Le Rond d'Alembert, Louis Agassiz, Henri Becquerel, Sophia Bryant, Sir Charles Lyell, George Brinton McClellan, Elwyn Waller, and others.
