Abstract:

The collection contains three letters and an engraved portrait of Eastlake. Eastlake writes to Mrs. [Anna] Jameson, 29 July, year unknown [between 1831 and 1860?], answering her inquiry about pictures of saints; to My Dear Sir [Richard Redgrave], 28 Jan. 1846, telling him there will be a meeting of the Fine Arts Commission; and to My Dear Sir [John Bell, sculptor], 12 Dec. 1864, about the Queen's meeting with the sculptors who will work on the Prince Consort's Memorial [Albert, Prince Consort of Queen Victoria]. The engraved portrait of Eastlake (28 x 19 cm.) was engraved by D.J. Pound from a photograph by John Watkins and is undated.
