Printed beneath photographer's logo: These negatives are preserved for years with great care. Photographs can be made from them like this, or enlarged to Cabinet or Life-Size, finished like Oil Paintings or in the style of Crayon Drawings.
Photographer's address dates the photograph between either 1848 and 1855 or 1860 and 1865. The cartes de visite style was not adopted in the United States until ca. 1860, so the latter dates are more likely.
