Interview with Jerry Goldberg, musical director of A chorus line, who discusses his job and a May 11, 1988 tribute to composer Irving Berlin by the cast of A chorus line. Brief footage of Goldberg at work and of the cast, including Karen Ziémba, rehearsing the tribute.
Segment two: 1988 Tony awards, aired Channel 2, June 5, 1988, 9:00 p.m. Angela Lansbury sings and introduces a tribute to Michael Bennett, who died in 1987. Terry Burrell, Loretta Devine, and Jennifer Holliday, perform segments from Dreamgirls. Donna McKechnie performs part of The music and the mirror with the cast of A chorus line.
