Abstract:

Shows the meaning of marriage in Christianity. The Church's teaching on contraception, on birth control and on divorce are fully and clearly explained. The reader is given a clear understanding of the rhythm method as a Christian approach to the problem of birth control. The author comments on some indefinable aspects of marriage. "There is really no morality in marriage: that would leave out too much. Rather is there a mystery of marriage which is a mystery of the meeting of flesh and spirit." Every Christian couple should have this volume to understand the Church's laws on marriage and its problems, because marriage--the beginning of a new family life--must be understood in terms of the Church to discover its true Christian meaning.
