Abstract:
Bill Moyers interviews Pastor John Hagee, the leader of Christians United for Israel, historian Timothy Weber, and Rabbi Michael Lerner to examine the support of Israel by fundamentalist Christians in the United States. Moyers also looks at the possibility of the United States preemptively attacking Iran, an agenda supported by Hagee and by some politicians. Also, Moyers looks at the Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania a year after a man opened fire on a schoolroom there, killing five girls. Moyers reports on how that community's embrace of forgiveness has helped them cope with the tragedy.
