Abstract:

How the Grinch stole Christmas: The grouchy Grinch tries to stop Christmas from coming to Whoville, but the Whos teach him the true meaning of Christmas instead. This 50th birthday deluxe edition also includes "Horton hears a Who!" in which stout-hearted Horton the elephant must prove his miniature friends the Whos exist, or they will wind up boiled in Beezle-Nut oil. The year without a Santa Claus: When Santa decides to take Christmas off, two elves go to find children to convince Santa to come back, but first they have to get past the Heat Miser and the Snow Miser. The deluxe edition includes "Rudolph's shiny new year" in which Father Time asks Rudolph to find the missing New Year baby, and "Nestor, the long-eared Christmas donkey" in which an outcast donkey escorts an expectant couple to Bethlehem. Frosty's winter wonderland: Frosty's lonely, so the kids decide to make him a wife, Crystal. But will Jack Frost let them be happy? 'Twas the night before Christmas: When a town learns that Santa Claus has struck it off his delivery schedule due to an insulting letter, a way must be found to change his mind. Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July: Long ago the Lady Borealis placed the evil Winterbolt under a magic spell, and put the last of her magic into the nose of a newborn reindeer: Rudolph. But now Winterbolt's awake. He gives Frosty's family magic amulets to keep them from melting until the Fourth of July so that Frosty and Rudolph can help Lilly's circus and Milton can marry his girlfriend on the high-wire, and Santa will use his sleigh to make sure everybody gets back to the North Pole in time.
