Abstract:

Film preceded by brief MCA advertisement for Chuck Berry's discography available on cassette, vinyl, CD.

On October 18, 1986, a concert was held in St Louis at the Fox theater in honor of Chuck Berry's 60th birthday. This film documents that concert which featured a pick-up band including Linda Ronstadt, Etta James, Eric Clapton, Julian Lennon, Robert Cray and Keith Richards. It includes intermittent interviews in which music legends Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Phil Everly, Don Everly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnnie Johnson, Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Willie Dixon and Roy Orbison discuss Berry's career and their relationships with him. Also includes interviews with Berry himself and with his family and close personal friends.

Film followed by a trailer for Janis Joplin documentary.
