Following a five week program at the Museum of Modern Art on film makers in Senegal, Larry Kardish interviews Senegalese film directors Paulin Soumanou Vieyra and Ousmane Sembene on the growth of the number of films from Senegal, the production of these films, and cultural influences. Excerpts are shown from Sembene's film "Ceddo" and from "Et La Niege N'etait Plus" by Ababacar Samb-Makharam, and "Reouh-Takh" by Mahama Johnson Traore.
