Per Tim Lucas' article, Will the real Mr. Arkadin please stand up, in Video watchdog, Mar/Apr, 1992: Confidential report was released by Warner Brothers in Europe in 1955 after being taken from Welles and drastically re-cut. Mr. Arkadin was released in the U.S. in 1962. The Voyager videodisc of Confidential report runs 97 minutes, 32 seconds (the videodisc jacket gives 99 minutes) while the Z Channel broadcast copy of Mr. Arkadin (which Lucas was using for comparison) runs 91 minutes, 38 seconds.
