Abstract:

A series of letters from a British novelist and clergyman to Michael Sadleir and Martha Smith of the British publishing firm, Constable & Co.,concerning the publication of Keable's works including "Simon Called Peter," "Isles of Illusion," "Mother of All Living," and "Lighten Our Darkness."

In the correspondence Keable discusses his home in Tahiti and his relationship with Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, Blamire Young, Alec Waugh, Philip Guedalla, H.L. Wilson, H.G. Wells, and Naomi Royde-Smith. The collection also includes telegrams, memorandum, photographs, and newspaperclippings.
