The illustrations at the beginning of each chapter were a great idea. When I read about a profiterole tower cake I was hoping that I'd find an illustration coming up in the story. First published in Great Britian perhaps explains a type of cake that is unfamilar to me. i enjoyed the story, but feel it will only appeal to girls. It is a long story about a girl who develops self esteem, as does her mom.
