It goes on the same shelf as the books by FBI profilers John Douglas (on whom one character in the show is clearly based), Robert Ressler and Roy Hazelwood"--Provided by publisher.

This volume takes a look into the minds of killers and how the government eventually caught them. An authorized tie-in to the popular TV show Criminal Minds, the author tells the stories of many famous murderers, organized by different categories that killers have fallen into such as travelers like Ted Bundy, cannibals such as Jeffery Dahmer, and child murderers like John Wayne Gacy.
