The chapters covering the history of Calculus in this book are interesting to read especially for someone that has wondered why or what motivated its development. The fact that there is really no agreed upon form on the FTC in terms of its historical development and the institutionalization of this "theorem" shows that modern textbooks often hoodwink students into believing results completely out of context. The geometry section of the book was also challenging but enlightening in terms of understanding Euclid's elements better. The editor warns in the preface that it is an uneven book in terms of its fonts and layout but it makes it all the more eclectic and delightful to read.
