This programme tells the story behind the disintegration and death of Rod Ansell, the man known as the model for Mick Dundee in the movie 'Crocodile Dundee'. He ambushed and killed a policeman on the bitumen highway linking north and south Australia. This programme investigates the killings, and examines the cultures most endangered by urbanisation, while identifying what was lost when the two men were caught in the crossfire of myth and reality.
