The book was rather impressive, and disclosed a ton on information that I've never seen before, an example of the extent of research performed for this subject.  The writing was tight, efficient, while not totally lacking some form of readable prose.  The book also discloses an important fact, one often missed by American historians: Martin's real name was Martino, not Martini.

Good writing, great research and a very interesting subject (you'll be amazed at what this Martin did during his life...much more beyond delivering a message at the Little Big Horn - and surviving) combine to make this book a worthwhile purchase.  If you like history and want to read about an interesting life, get this book!
