Abstract:

Inspired by the revelation of director Stanley Kubrick's close relationship with NASA on 2001: A Space Odyssey and Barry Lindon, the director invents a fictional scenario. Using images of the moon landing, hijacked archival footage, false documents, and authentic interviews removed from their context, the viewer is invited to consider how difficult it is to separate truth from manipulation, given the techniques and abilities of mass media.
