Abstract:

Collection consists of case files and personal papers of David Sive, bulk 1965-1990. Included are pleadings, motion papers, discovery documents, including transcripts of depositions, transcripts of hearings and trials, briefs, court decisions and orders, correspondence, clippings, telegrams, blueprints, photographs, maps, reports and environmental impact statements, administrative papers, press releases and publicity materials, reports of case decisions and other research materials.

The largest collections are the Concerned About Trident case, in which the plaintiffs sought to enjoin construction of the Trident nuclear submarine until environmental impact studies required by federal law were complete, and the Storm King Mountain case, which sought to prevent construction of a major power plant in an unspoiled area of the Hudson Valley on the Hudson River.
