Maximilian, of Transylvania; Eucharius Cervicornus
|注意：||The first printed account of Maximilian's account of Magellan's celebrated voyage around the world, from 1519 to 1522. The second edition was issued at Rome, by Calvus, in November 1523, under title: "Maximiliani Transyluani Cæsaris a secretis Epistola, de admirabili & nouissima Hispanorũ in Orientem nauigatione." The priority of the present edition is established by the fact that in Cologne the new year began on December 25, and not in March, as was supposed by those bibliographers who have given the precedence to the Roman edition (e.g. Medina, Bibliografía española de las Islas Filipinas, 1897, p. -22) cf. Schöner ... Reproduction of his globe of 1523, 1888, p. xxii, 153; and Grotefend, Zeitrechnung des deutschen mittelalters, 1891-98, v. 1, p. 88, 23, 203.
