2008 Vice Presidential nominees Joe Biden (D-DE) and Sarah Palin (R-AK) debate at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Moderator, Gwen Ifill, leads discussions on foreign and economic policies. On the current economic crisis, Biden blames the government lack of regulation on big business as the main fault, going on to cite Presidential nominee Barack Obama's plan for stricter regulations. Palin, puts the blame on the corruption of Wall Street, calling America to "band together" against exploitation by those who manage money. The foreign policy debate focused on the Darfur region, Israel, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. On the War in Iraq, Biden pushes for a gradual withdrawal of troops in a timeline of 16 months, while Palin advocates for McCain's work towards victory.
