Contents: Photo 1 - Engine No. 51 at Alpine Pass Palisades west of Alpine Tunnel on the narrow gauge line to Gunnison, with 'balloon' stack, between 1880 and 1885. Photo 2 - Renumbered Engine No. 51 became No. 191, with Union Pacific-style 'Congdon' stack at Pine Grove in Platte Canyon, between 1885 and 1889. Photo 3 - Engine No. 110 above scree covered slope on Boreas Pass on its was to Leadville. Engine was on loan from the Atcheson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. Photo 4 - Engine No. 71, a Cooke Locomotive Works 2-6-0. Photo 5 - Engine No. 240, a Mason Locomotive Works 'Bogie', with its front end gone (S-2580)
